CHILD HEALTH SURVEILLANCE CLINIC                      Thursday  1.45 – 3.00pm     Dr Johnson
Regular pre-school examinations are important to check the growth and development of your child. You will be requested by post to make appointments for your child to be seen at various stages during their early years.
IMMUNISATION CLINIC                                                          Tuesday  2.00 – 3.45pm      Dr Fabling/Practice Nurses
All children require a course of immunisations which provide safe protection against a range of serious infectious diseases. When these are due you will be sent an appointment to attend.
If you suffer from a chronic disease such as Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Stroke or Rheumatoid Arthritis we  offer special review appointments to carefully assess and regularly check your condition in order to provide the best control possible. This is very important in helping to maintain good health and avoid possible complications. If you suffer from a chronic disease we will write to you annually to invite you to make an appointment at your convenience with the practice nurse.
The community midwives from the Vale of Leven Hospital operate a weekly clinic in the Surgery every Wednesday from 1.30-3.45pm. The midwife clinic is by appointment only. If you have just discovered you are pregnant and require a booking appointment you must call the central booking line first to arrange your booking appointment. Telephone 0141 232 4005
The surgery offers a limited number of appointments after 6pm, by appointment only, on alternate Mondays and Tuesdays for patients who are unable to attend during normal working hours. Please note we cannot guarantee you a particular named GP on these evening appointments and there is no nurse provision so you will be required to attend during working hours if you require further investigations such as blood testing.
Many simple procedures such as cryotherapy (freezing) of warts and verrucas, removal of simple moles and other skin lumps, joint injections etc, can easily be dealt with in the surgery without the need to attend hospital. Please ask for details.
Advice on vaccinations and other health aspects of foreign travel is available by appointment with the practice sisters. Please note that a fee may be charged for this service.
